Open Skills Days

Open Skills Day

Primal Knowledge hosts a special “Open Skills Day” about once a month. This free event gives you a taste of what you might experience in a class and allows you to socialize with other members of the primitive skills community.

Next Scheduled: Saturday, June 15th, 2019

Our Projects:

The types of projects we do on Open Skills Days can be somewhat experimental. They may be activities to try unfamiliar primitive techniques or activities in preparation for an upcoming class.

Past events have included constructing a primitive bake ovenstripping poplar bark, and boiling down the syrup from maple taps.

How to Participate:

Please bring any tools and materials that you think may be helpful.

The day starts at 9:00am. You will need to pack a lunch or snacks if you plan to stay all day.

There is NO charge for this event. Open Skills Days, are not structured, and people come and go, and are free to work on their own projects, as well as the noted activity. As an experimental day we will be learning together.
